In the Information Age, our graduates from the Management Information Systems Department, trained with an interdisciplinary approach, are equipped with the skills for research and development, analytical thinking, and are able to convert theoretical knowledge into practical applications in laboratories equipped with the latest software related to the field. This exciting and dynamic field will enable our graduates to be open to international technological developments.

Information and communication technologies are among the most important infrastructure and superstructure actors playing a leading role in a country’s development. In the 21st century Information Age, the innovations brought by developments in the field of information technology have resulted in much more effective and efficient decision-making processes in business science. Management Information Systems, which can be described as a method, an approach, an organization, and a system, is a field that integrates human resources with technological infrastructure and superstructure through an interdisciplinary study principle, formed by the interaction and integration of business and information fields.

Our students will have a solid foundation in software development. Graduates will be able to take on management positions in all sectors of the innovative business world that use information and communication technologies. They may also be assigned to positions relevant to Management Information Systems in public institutions, if appointed according to KPSS scores. Particularly, fields such as IT specialists and managers, computer programmers, personal data brokers, enterprise resource planners, human resources managers, SEO specialists, project managers, business intelligence specialists, social media experts, marketing experts and managers, drone operators, nanotechnologists, digital therapeutics, and academics, will perfectly meet the needs in sectors such as information technology, finance, entrepreneurship, international trade, defense industry, health, green energy, and education.

Transportation to Edirne
Edirne, located in the Thrace Region, was the capital of the Ottoman Empire for 92 years. It is a city that was founded by the Thracians, who migrated from Central Asia in ancient times, where the Meriç, Tunca, and Arda rivers converge. It is situated on the borders of European Union countries Greece and Bulgaria. The city is 240 km from Istanbul, 229 km from Çanakkale, 144 km from Tekirdağ, and 67 km from Kırklareli by road. With the expected opening of the Kapıkule-Halkalı high-speed train line in early 2023, travel time to Istanbul is projected to be approximately 75 minutes. Our university is 7 km from the Greek border gate and 16 km from the Bulgarian border gate. Students with a green passport can easily visit Greece and Bulgaria without requiring a visa.

Transportation to Our Faculty
Trakya University’s Faculty of Applied Sciences is located within the Ayşekadın Campus, the founding campus of our university, established in 1982. The campus is situated on Zübeyde Hanım Street, one of the busiest and most popular streets in the city, and is within walking distance to sports complexes, shopping centers, parks, gardens, ponds, and cafes. There are also regular minibus routes passing in front of the campus, connecting to other parts of the city.
