History

Trakya University

Trakya University is one of the most established and reputable institutions in Turkey, founded on July 20, 1982, through Decree No. 41. It is highly recognized for its work both within Turkey and internationally, particularly in the Balkans. Located in the Thrace Region, which is a bridge between Europe and Asia, in the city of Edirne, Trakya University hosts students from all over the world under the slogan "Bridge to the Future" and sends students to all five continents through various programs.

Trakya University is a large, powerful, and established institution, educating approximately 40,000 students, with a strong academic and administrative staff that has also founded four other major universities, such as Çanakkale 18 Mart, Tekirdağ Namık Kemal, and Kırklareli Universities.

Our Department's Establishment

Our department is the first and only Management Information Systems department established at Trakya University. It will introduce its first 40 students in the 2020/2021 academic year.
